Our Shifu, Master Dao, could not be prouder of his instructors and students:
"At this hour-long performance, our students brought out their Shaolin Spirit in every routine. Everyone stayed focused, persevered, and strived. The audience had nothing but glowing comments about how amazing our show was and how much we have improved from last year. Congratulations to all of us for this achievement!" - Master Dao
The theme for the performance this year was "Shaolin Meditation". Master Dao talked about how Shaolin Meditation can help people directly find peace and happiness. And thus we incorporated Shaolin Meditation into the spirit of every routine, hoping that we will inspire others to also discover the practice and benefits.
Perhaps what makes our performance even better this year is how we showcased the many arts and sides of Shaolin. Shaolin Kung Fu is the most well-known component, but there is also Shaolin Tai Chi and Shaolin Qigong.
And the audience loved the dramatic demonstration of hard qigong by Master Dao's disciple, Shi Yan Ning.
And of course, we love to emphasize our family-oriented school where families can take classes together. It's great to have their spirit of performing on stage too!
There are so many more wonderful moments and performances that we could not fit them all here. We will be preparing a video blog at a later time to better show the entire performance. Until then!
