We are pleased to announce that...

Starting Saturday, May 3, 2025, all students who purchase at least 28 tokens will have complimentary access to the Learn Shaolin Online platform!

Many details are below, so be sure to read them carefully!

What is Learn Shaolin Online?

Learn Shaolin Online is a subscription-based learning tool for the Shaolin Arts of Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Meditation. You can train anytime and from anywhere with Internet access. You can use your computer, laptop, tablet, or even phone.

Scroll down this page to see a sample screenshot of a kung fu class.

The content has been carefully designed and structured by Master Dao to simulate in-person class training. Content includes videos of Master Dao explaining techniques, taolu forms, and application; quizzes to test your understanding; reference materials; and dynamically generated classes.

Students who train in person (and through Zoom) can enhance their training and experience through this essential resource. There are some restrictions, so please read carefully.

How do I qualify for free access?

Starting May 1st, 2025, students are granted access based on their tier as follows:

Tier Required Tokens Subscription Equivalent Value
Tier 1 28 Scheduling Tokens 4 Months Starter Subscription $300
Tier 2 56 Scheduling Tokens 4 Months Standard Subscription $420
Tier 3 Unlimited Scheduling Tokens 4 Months Dedicated Subscription Content $600

The 4-month subscription is based on the length of a term at our STQI school. So if you qualify for a tier, your earliest access date is the beginning of the term, and the latest access date is at the end of the term (or before the start of the next term).

What Taolu Forms are Included in Each Tier?

The available taolu forms for each discipline are listed below. As we add more forms, we will update this list and they will become available to you.

Note that taolu forms are not unlocked until the student has passed a basic 'Level 2' test in class. See below for more information on how to request access to a particular form.

Shaolin Kung Fu

Tier Accessible Taolu Forms
Tier 1 Wubuquan - Five Stance Fist
Tier 2 Xiaolianhuan (Small Interlinking Fist), Babulianhuan (Eight Stance Interlinking Fist), Tongbiquan (Through the Arms Fist)
Tier 3 Xiaohongquan (Small Flooding Fist), Yinshougun (Yin Hands Staff)

Shaolin Tai Chi

Tier Accessible Taolu Forms
Tier 1 Baburouquan (Eight Stance Gentle Fist)
Tier 2 Yunquan (Cloud Fist)
Tier 3 Rouquan (Gentle Fist), Yinshourougun (Gentle Yin-Hands Staff)

Shaolin Qigong

Tier Accessible Taolu Forms
Tier 1 Baduanjin Qigong (Eight Brocades Qigong)
Tier 2 Xiaohong Qigong (Small Flooding Qigong), Dazuo Qigong (Sitting Qigong)
Tier 3 Yijinjing Qigong (Martial Joint Qigong), Shaolin Jingangong (Strong and Hard Qigong)

How do I request access to a specific Taolu Form?

Students can ask their instructor to assess them for a particular form. If a student passes the 'level 2' equivalent, the instructor will confirm this and the system will automatically and immediately unlock the taolu form for you (refresh the website if you are already in the course).

The minimum requirement to pass a 'level 2' test is to have less than 5 errors while demonstrating the entire form with proper stances and hand positioning. You may only request one test per taolu forms class you attend (i.e. you cannot request this test in a foundation class or for a different discipline).

Please note that the instructor may not have time to fulfill your test request, and it will depend on the instructor's time during a class. Please be patient as students and instructors adjust to the system.

What is Not Included with Free Access?

Students who qualify can access all content except for video uploading and testing. The reason is that this is very time-consuming, and students who use this platform will be tested in classes anyway, so there is no need for video uploads and review.

Students who have an actual paid subscription can still upload videos for review.

Do I have to earn XP to unlock content?

You can complete steps normally to earn XP and unlock content (as designed by the system), or you can access locked content immediately.

To access locked content, enter the course you want to train and click on 'Course Steps'. You will then see all the content that you can access, including taolu forms that are unlocked by your instructor in class.
